Everyone starts at Level 1 with 20 Free Shipments. Your subscription will automatically adjust up or down – with your confirmation – based on how many active shipments you have processed.
Prices listed in USD.
A 'shipment' is simply a verified booking confirmation. Drafts of bookings do not count toward your subscription.
A single shipment can be rolled, split or combined over the course it's lifecycle.
For example, if a shipment is rolled three times, over the course of 2 months - it still only counts as one shipment.
When a booking is split, the original booking counts as one shipment. The split shipment will count as a new shipment.
During your free trial, you have access to all of our standard features and to as many subscription add-ons* as you choose to enable during the trial period, at no cost.
You may also invite as many team members as you like.
Please note your vessel schedule limit is set at 20 during the free trial regardless of your subscription level.
TradeLanes subscriptions have three pricing levels (see above) determined solely by the number of monthly shipments you have. Each pricing level comes with a monthly user limit*, unlimited recurring team members, unlimited collaborators, and all standard features.
Please keep in mind, we have a free trial but we do not have a free plan. After the free trial, if you are not ready to use TradeLanes - we recommend you cancel until you are. Here is how TradeLanes's self-adjusting pricing levels work:
1. Going up a pricing level
We will never raise your pricing level without first giving you a chance to decide if that is what you want to do. Let's say you are at Level 1. When you go to create a shipment over the monthly shipment limit, the system will warn you that doing so will cause your subscription rate to go up to Level 2.
If you decide to go ahead and create the shipment, you will be charged immediately the difference in price between Levels 1 and 2 on a prorated basis for the time remaining in your current monthly or annual billing cycle.
Once charged, subscription upgrades are non-refundable, which means the earliest you may downgrade to a lower level is at the end of your billing cycle. (See below for how this works.)
In this particular example, you would stay at Level 2 for the remainder of the billing cycle even if you immediately deleted the shipment that triggered the upgrade.
2. Going down a pricing level
We will automatically lower your pricing level at the end of your monthly or annual billing cycle, as needed, to match the number of shipments you have at the time.
Continuing the scenario from above, if your shipment volume meets the Level 1 limtis before the end of your billing cycle, when your subscription renewed, you would be charged at Level 1, not Level 2. We take care of that for you, so you don't have to worry about it!
* Additional monthly shipments is a subscription add-on that lets you add more shipments to your monthly limit. Scroll down to Subscription add-ons to see pricing. Please note your shipment limit is set at 20 during the free trial.
Each subscription level has a monthly shipment limit. You can see these limits at the top of this page.
During the free trial, your shipment limit is set at 20, regardless of your subscription level or how many active shipments you have.
If you hit your limit, you will not be able to create more shipments until the beginning of the next monthly cycle, when your shipment limit resets. (We will warn you before that happens.)
If you find you need more monthly shipments than the limit allowed under your subscription level, you may purchase additional shipments in increments of 10. Scroll down to Subscription add-ons to learn more.
You may also end your free trial early, if you wish, to reset and increase your shipment limit.

Provided you do not cancel before your free trial ends, when it is over, the amount you are charged will be based on the number of active shipments you have at the time, plus any subscription add-ons you have enabled.
We do not have a free plan. Even if you have no active shipments when your trial ends, you will be charged at Level 1 (plus any add-ons). Please cancel before then, if you do not wish to be charged.
Of course! In fact, if you cancel before your free trial ends, you will not be charged at all.
If you cancel after your trial ends, your subscription will expire at the end of your monthly or annual subscription term, as the case may be.
We do not offer refunds. This includes payments for our base subscription, subscription upgrades, subscription add-ons, and additional active shipments (at Level 3).
It is important to note we have a free trial, but we do not have a free plan. Even if you have no active shipments, you will be charged every month at Level 1 (plus any add-ons) until you cancel.
Even if your active shipments have had no updates, vessel schedules, or alerts in a given month, they still count toward your subscription, so be sure to only leave shipments you are actively using.
At the end of each monthly or annual billing cycle, we will automatically downgrade your subscription level, as needed, to match the number of active shipments you have at the time.
